Payment for all goods must be paid for in full at least 1 day prior to any delivery or fitting, by cash/credit card/cheque cleared funds only. Failure to pay 1 day prior to any delivery or fitting will delay the delivery or fitting date. A minimum of 10% deposit is required on all purchases. Any deposits left for more than 3 months without extended invoicing will be retained…all goods remain the property of Alomi until paid for in full.
The invoice value does not include the cost of the fitter to uplift or dispose of old carpet or any other type of flooring, move furniture or cut doors. However if required to do so there will be a minimum surcharge of £50 per room to be paid directly to the fitter unless paid to Alomi direct and shown on the Invoice for these services. Prior to installation the customer must make the fitter fully aware of any pipes, wires or any other hazard, to avoid while fitting, Alomi can not be held liable for any damages otherwise. We will not start any installation if the furniture, carpet or other flooring has not been removed prior to fitting date without notice to the fitter. Alomi cannot be held liable for loss of earnings or any other charges incurred. Balances cannot be paid to the fitter. Free fitting promotions are for orders over £100 per room only. Customers are required to supply parking for the fitters during this process.
Wood Flooring Fitting
The invoice value does not include the cost of the fitter to uplift or dispose of old carpet or other flooring materials or move furniture. However if required these services are available on request but a minimum surcharge of £100 must be paid direct to Alomi at least 1 day prior to fitting. All balances must be paid at least 1 day prior to fitting date. Customers must make fitter fully aware of any pipes, wires, or any other hazard to avoid while fitting, Alomi can not be held liable for any damages otherwise. Alomi recommends delivery at least 1 week before installation for acclimatisation. If underfloor heating is to be used the floor will need to be acclimatized for at least 2 weeks before installation, the temperature of the heating system is to be increased 5 degrees per day until the output is half of the maximum temperature. After this the floor heating is to be set to maximum temperature for 3 days before installation. If the instructions have not been followed properly Alomi can not be held liable for any expansion, cupping or shrinkage caused. If required we can fit customers own skirting for a minimum surcharge of £3 per linear metre paid directly to Alomi and shown on the invoice, this is not a Alomi product and is not guaranteed at all. If required the fitter can cut doors for a minimum surcharge of £20 per door, only if paid directly to Alomi and shown on the invoice. All wood flooring is fitted to ply without knowledge of the state of the customers premises and is sole responsibility of the customer to make sure that the floor surface is even and if fitting on concrete the floor must be completely sealed and levelled. On request Alomi can inspect for damp concrete and floor adjustments, the floor fitting can not be guaranteed otherwise. Alomi can not be held liable for any costs or damages unless fitting area has been inspected. Inspection is on a completely free basis unless the address is more than 20 miles away, if outside of the free inspection area there will be a minimum surcharge of £40. Wood flooring is a natural product and is subject to natural problems, e.g.: scratching, colour variation & ultra violet light discolouration, Alomi can not be held liable for any of these natural problems. Real wood flooring will move if not cleaned properly, the floor is to be cleaned with a slightly moist cloth (DO NOT WASH THE FLOOR WITH WATER). If this is not done properly the floor will move, cup, twist, and bow. Alomi can not guarantee a perfect finish without a 10% wastage that is required to be purchased on top of the area size. Customers are required to supply parking for fitter during this process.
Dates of Fitting or Delivery
Every effort is made to maintain a date for fitting or delivery by Alomi but if due to any unforeseen circumstance this cannot always be maintained, Alomi will not be responsible for any compensation or cost’s occurred. In the unlikely circumstances that the delivery or fitting cannot be made due to the customer not being present the second delivery will be chargeable.
Customer's Own Measurements
If customers own measurements are incorrect the customer is liable to an additional fitting or delivery charge and a re-order charge of all products supplied. Alomi requires a 10% wastage allowance for wood floor fitting sizes.
Cancellations & Returning of Goods
Cancellations will incur a 20% charge for the materials only. Refunds of goods can only be accepted 28 days from date of invoice. If no valid invoice is produced no refund can be accepted. Goods can be returned as long as they are unopened and in a satisfactory condition. Alomi will not collect any type of cancelled or left over goods, a 10% restocking charge will be applied. Refunds by cheque from Head Office only and can take up to 28 days.
Retention of Title
All goods supplied or fitted are the customer’s direct responsibility once the delivery or fitting has been made. It is the customer’s sole responsibility for the safe keeping and maintenance of these goods. The property and ownership of goods supplied will not pass to the customer until Alomi has received full payment.
Wood Flooring Grading
When purchasing a wood floor, all samples on display are a fair representation of the product to be supplied. The grade can be detailed on request by the customer on your purchase invoice and to obtain clarification of all characteristics of grades. All flooring is supplied in random lengths.
In the event of faulty goods being supplied, Alomi will not be liable for any costs incurred in regards to removing of furniture and any loss of earnings. Alomi reserve the right to replace & repair any faulty goods supplied and cannot be held liable for any refunds due to sub contractors/installers faults. All complaints must be made in writing and received within 21 days of delivery or fitting date. Any products installed by customer or customers sub contractor/installer with a clearly visible defect will not be liable for a full refund, goods fitted by Customer or Customer’s Sub contactor/Installer will not have any guarantee and Alomi cannot be held liable for any refund once received. Refunds can only be made once goods have been returned unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Unloading of Goods
The customer is fully responsible in providing assistance in unloading of goods, and must advise prior to delivery of any restricted access and height restrictions. Customer to provide Parking in Controlled Zones or is liable for any Parking Fines. All goods to be delivered on ground floor only unless clearly notified on invoice. Any damage of goods must be signed for on delivery.
